Glass Cabochons
Fused glass cabochons are created by carefully layering pieces of compatible glass and heating them in a kiln until they melt together into a single form. The process begins with selecting and arranging glass in different colors, shapes, and patterns on a kiln shelf or mold. The glass is then fired at high temperatures, where it softens and fuses, creating unique designs and visual depth. After the initial firing, the glass is slowly cooled through a controlled annealing process to relieve stress and ensure durability. Once cooled, the cabochons are cleaned and inspected, revealing one-of-a-kind pieces that capture light, color, and texture in distinctive ways. Glass cabochons are one of the ways that my art pieces are so unique and attention-getting.

Cast Jewelry
Casting is one of the most transformative stages of the jewelry-making process, where an original design becomes a lasting piece in metal. Using the lost-wax casting method, a hand-carved or digitally created wax model is encased in a plaster-like investment material to create a mold. The mold is then heated, causing the wax to melt away and leave behind a hollow cavity. Molten silver or gold is poured into this space, filling every detail of the original design. Once the metal has cooled and solidified, the mold is carefully broken away to reveal the raw casting. The piece is then cleaned, refined, and finished by hand through filing, sanding, polishing, and other techniques, bringing the design to life with both precision and artistry. There are so many ways to create memorable art pieces, and casting offers its own individual stamp to the process.
